I am still running this F-150 engine swap option 2 is upgrade to a 351 Windsor from the 302 it is a 92 F-150 I think the computer is the same but have any of you tried this and kept the fuel injection

I am still saying overhaul the 302, cheaper and less headache than a convertion,espeacially one involveing a computer!

Roy, I have a '91 Bronco w/302, looked into a 351 computer swap. Computer is not the same along with some other complications. Pete

Why not just drop a reman 302 into it? Probably just as cheap as rebuilding yourself, plus a warranty.

My brother in law is "the smartest guy in the room" when it comes to mechanical and electronic stuff, and he converted a '68 Mercury Cougar to a 302 with fuel injection. When I asked him how it went, he just smiled and said "Never again."

Above all the 351 has a higher deck height and the 302 intake will not fit, exhaust pipes also will not line up correctly as the heads are higher and wider than the 302, the ecm calibrations are differant etc. etc. etc. don't do it you will age ten years trying it.
