Honest, I do............

Having the last of this batch of puppies picked up today...
Guess it doenn't matter what you are selling, idiots crawl out of the woodwork..
Couple that stick out are one man & wife that were both emailing/calling. Finally talked to each at different times and we came up with an appointment to come see/pick up a puppy. Turned out they live 2 miles away and we spent hours on phone/email tag. They show up at the house Friday afternoon, screw around for 20 minutes or so asking about the puppies, etc. picked one out and asked how much it costs, gave them one of my friendly people person looks and said it was the same as was advertised. Guy said "well we don't wanna pay that much". Told him the gate opens outward and they had about 2 seconds to get off the property. They were pretty quick (musta been the shovel???).

Other people called and asked some questions that were reasonable. Could hear the guy's wife in the background asking and he was relaying. then came a "Do they shed?? " me "yes, they are dogs"
"poodles don't shed" me "niether do schnauzers, but these are niether one"
"I don't know if I want something that sheds" me "I don't know either, get a f%$#ng goldfish til you figure it out"

Both situations were Americans. Makes the stories you folks tell a lot more real.....

Several years ago at my old house my wife and I were just walking out the door to go to eat....And.....These 2 guys in their early 20s walk up to me in my front yard, (car was parked in the street) and he is selling this new fangled bio-degradable cleaner. Well.....I made the point that we were leaving and I wasnt interested. One guy says but it is so biodegradable that my friend here can drink it. I then got pizzed and said I dont give a schitt if you can drink it or if it poisons the rivers, lakes, streams....I AINT INTERESTED, now leave. The wife and I left and I watched to make sure that they walked off my property.
Keep in mind this was when I was 28 years old and nice. Now I am 40 and rude.
The door to door yahoo's are the ones you have to be the most rude too.

I should have told this clown that I would buy a bottle of it if his buddy drank a whole bottle himself. (I dont think of the good comments till later)

C'mon Dave, we all can see you are starting to like this merchant, customer relationship. It is growing on you whether you like it or not. You have found yourself selling horses and now dogs and soon will be selling horse tack and doggie harnesses and healthy dog food. Better start thinking about a good "Daves" label or moniker and a good place to put the sign by the road. I can see a sign with your picture sporting a big handlebar mustach and a great big smile to go with your purdy face.

Those guys stop at my farm shop every once in a while.I'm not so sure they don't stop at walmart and by a spray bottle cause there's no name on it.The last one just walked into my shop and said "watch this". He then walked around the shop spraying stuff and wiping it off like i should be impressed.I told him the boss will be back in an hour,i couldn't by anything.He just gave me a dirty look and left.

I had been working outside all day and the high was about 10 degrees when a salesman come to the door. I had just got in the house about 2 minutes before he got there. I stepped out on the porch what he knocked on the door. He made the remark how cold it was out here. After a few more no's he said I did not have very good hospitality because it was cold. Told him my hospitality for a salesman wasn't worth a sh?t. All he had on was a suit and necktie, no coat.

Hey there;
Some years ago, a door to door salesman came up onto our porch, and said to my wife "we would like to give you this Bible". My wife response was to take his "gift", and the shut the door in his face. He knocked on the door, and asked for "his" Bible back, saying that she was to listen to their plan first! She told him to get off our porch, he said it was a gift and she NEVER gave a "gift"back.

Dave prehaps a mild dose of valium would help. Get used to this if you have something for sale. A freind of mine had all kind of "stuff" never would sell anything because of dealing with people.

Why I like ebay so well........................

When it comes to the animals, we are picky where they go anyway and I don't worry a lot about hurting folks' feelings.

My dog is so much like me it isn't funny, she likes someone or not on the 1st glance, and I've turned several people away that came to see her pups just because she growled at them.

I'm getting better though..

I think you are on to something with the dogs. If the puppies mother doesn't like someone, there's probably a good reason that she just can't tell you.

You haven't met idiots until you show rental property.....

One guy told me he wanted to rent the house and I told him to fill out an application forme to review. Three weeks later, I have no application but he's got all his stuff in a truck at the rental house waiting for me to bring him the keys.

Another guy told me he had an American bulldog. I told him I would have to meet the dog.
