Second grade, Miss Mable's class, Mrs. Young came in and told her. I can t say I new what the President was or did but I watched the funeral on TV. I have been watching Washington every since.

Detroit mich working in West fort tv shop. People were crying and couldn't believe it. I taped the news report and still have it somewhere. Audio only. Black and white tv's and no VCR's. Driving my first car, 54 ford, stick six with the back seat out to make room for hauling tv sets. Shop owner did not have car. Think he paid me $30 a week. I was learning the trade after finishing radio-tv school(year and a half) Left $60 week job to get into this racket. Later apprenticeship at GM for electrician. Well worth the sacrifice. Dave
