Left the feed store for fertilizer plant at 7am
Got there just in time to sit behind three big rigs.
10 AM left for feedstore.
About half way back county decides to repair road.
Sat through roadblock and back at shop at 11:30. Boss is pi$$ed. Customer picks up spreader blows out tire.
Replace tire, send customer on his way.
Back to plant for four tons of fertilizer.
Load up head back to store.
Customer calls back,he only wants two tons at a time.
Boss is really pi$$ed now.
Meet boss at his place to spread the four tons.
Take buggy back to shop.
Customer calls back he will take the four tons anyway.
Boss is now hitting the roof.
I went and got drunk.
So how was your day.
Meet boss at his field to spread the four tons

At least your not the boss and just go do what your told and go home at night. I'm my own boss and the problems go home with me. Always thinking about my business problems 24/7.

Heck, I spent most of yesterday looking for a small part I misplaced from the afternoon before that eventually turned out to be right where I thought I left it, it had simply magically crawled under another part and after HOURS of searching I finally noticed it there!

Talk about feeling DUMB!

Don't feel too bad. I put an extra set of aluminum tire blocks/chocks away on a shelf in the shop. That was 2 years ago. I still haven't found them.

I find it is always the last place you look. When you should have looked there in the first place. Found a part in my cleaning vat. That I swear was not there two days ago.

I always keep the truck key in the ignition. Since we're leaving on vacation in the morning, I thought it might be smart to bring it in. I put it in the drawer and a few minutes later couldn't remember where I put them. It's time to start writing myself notes.

Been waiting in the Balad air terminal for 4 days for a flight back to my base. I left home from my R&R leave the 7th, if I get back today (Sat.) it will have been 8 days to get back. My keyster is sore from all the sitting.

Monday.
First load of corn plug auger where someone had left a wrench in the hopper, under the old corn. One hour later loaded truck.
Second Load of corn. Hurrying to catch up and forget to roll tarp. I saw it just as I turn the auger on. Still dumped a few bushels of corn on top of the tarp. Go get the skid steer sweep the corn off of the tarp. Half hour later loaded truck
Driving to grain elevator. Back U-joint goes out of semi. Throws shaft clear across four lane high way. Breaks all of the air lines too. Ruins both yokes. Call son to bring his tractor out to put under loaded trailer. He waits for wrecker to take my tractor home. I take load to elevator. Left the hopper handle in my semi. Use a pipe wrench to open hoppers. While closing the last hopper dropped the pipe wrench in the dump pit. They had to shut down the whole grain leg to find the wrench before it gets in to the grinder.
Go home and went to bed. Was afraid to touch anything else.

I ain't scared of snakes, don't mind them when I see them out of arms reach, just don't like'm up close when I don't know they are there.

Markers quit working on the planter today. Started pulling actuator out of frame. When it came out so did a 5' king snake. If it had not been for have'n to leave for my night job I'd a got drunk too. Hope'n to this afternoon if I get don't planting corn.

I think you right about them moving. Well just found out that the wheels bearings I just packed. Were packed with the wrong grease. Found out the grease we were told was no longer being made. Is still being made. Haven't seen the boss yet to tell him.Sure hope he goes on a buying trip next week.
