OT Johnson outboard boat motor

Hey fellas, I know i asked this last year, but the fishing season is starting on saturday here in minnesota, I was wondering what the gas oil ratio is for a 1976 75 hp johnson. I think it was 50.1 but just cant remember, and dont want to risk hurting any thing. Thanks Bob

40 to 50 to 1 would be fine using modern oil.

not 40 but 50/1...foul plugs to fast with 40/1

50/1 for hard usage and 100/1 if you use as I do. no sustained full throttle, mostly modderate to light throttle and idling while stump jumping in Lake Marion on the Santee-Cooper system.

Well the only place that I use it is on Lake of the Woods, most of the time it is wide open, never troll with it, lots of drifting.

Then 50/1 is the way to go. if it smokes too much you can cut back a little at the time till you are happy. good fishing!

We are going to catch all the fish up in the Rainy river before they go back to the lake! You will be wasting your time!

Good luck on that one!! Never fished the rainey myself, but it does sound fun, Id like to sturgeon fish it. But them there walleyes are hard to beat, and wow talk about big ones being caught over on my end of the lake last year, hope it goes that way again this year.
