Fuel treatment

I bought a quart of diesel fuel treatment. The directions say use 3 oz for 10 gal. Does this stuff really do any good, or did I waste my money? Seams 3 oz for 10 gal isn't much. I like to use my method. If a little does a little good, then a lot will do a lot of good. Stan

If it's to stop algae growth, then follow those directions. Too much kills the algae, causing it to come off the fuel tank sides and CLOGGING your filters. You will grow weary of changing filters! All this does is slows algae growth, if you have it in there. Usually more of a problem in warm weather States. Also remember that "If a little is good, a lot is better" doesn't work when oiling your pocket watch, LOL

What kind of diesel fuel treatment is it? There is some good stuff out there and a lot of diesel experts recommend additives for low sulpher diesel. Sometimes you don't need much to still make a difference. Dave
