Honda Civic Air Bags (OT)

I would assume so, although I'm not that familiar with Honda.

I recently replaced the air bags in a '99 Olds 88. I bought the complete system out of an identical Olds, bags, module, dash pad, etc. I did buy a new sensor.

I have a Chilton manual that said the module didn't need to be replaced until the bags had been deployed four times. (How many vehicles will survive that?) Anyway, since the module on this particular car is underneath the carpet under the passenger seat, I first played lazy and replaced everything but the module. On this car, whenever you turn the ignition on, the air bag light on the dash flashes seven times while the computer checks the system, then stays off.

Without changing the module, the air bag light flashed seven times and stayed on. I resigned myself to pulling the passenger seat and pulling the carpet back to change the module. After I changed the module, the system check worked like it's supposed to and after flashing seven times the light stayed off.

Guess I proved Chilton wrong.

shoot me an email with the year make and model of the honda, i can look it up on the computer at the shop to see if it needs replacement or if you can reset it with a scanner.
