1943 Farmall Cub

I"m a Panzer enthusiast myself (3 1110"s, a Panzer Wagon, and a Panzer Self-Propelled Mower), but I"m trying to get a value on my next door neighbor"s tractor for him. His emphysema has gotten so bad he just can"t do anything anymore, and he has to let the tractor go. It"s a 1943 Farmall Cub; good shape overall, could use a paint job. It"s not rotted out, & everything works. It doesn"t have a PTO. He has a Plow, Grader, and Discs for it. I"m posting here because this has always been my go-to place for information. I can"t find another 1943 Cub to compare it to anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I"m hoping to post it on Craigslist for him this weekend, but I want him to get the right price... I also want it to sell for him without much hassle, so I don"t want to be asking too much.

Can't be a '43, they didn't start making them until '47. Get the serial # and look up the year in the serial # list at the left of this page to get a handle on the year. Good ones run in the range of $1500 to $2000 & basket cases go for $500 to $750 in our part of the world, as there were not too many of them sold new around here so they are kinda scarce. Thank you, jal, I'll do that right now. I'm going outside in a minute, once I print out whatever I need. Hopefully, I'll be able to update the my post. Thanks again.

Thank you again. Now I've got the year, based on the S/N list you told me about here at Yesterdays Tractors. I now know it's a 1948 Cub, verified using S/N and Casting Numbers.
