What the heck is the "other" fuel in the survey? Beats out gas, diesel, Propane and kerosene. Anybody have a tractor that burns something else? Coal, maybe?

Possibly "tractor fuel", which I always thought was the same as kerosene. But I"ve been told different.A lot of 2-cylinder John Deeres were set up as "All-Fuel", which I believe included tractor fuel.

Had to go look at all the surveys here on the home page.

Yea, that's a real good question?

These old tractors will burn a variety of fuels. I own and operate a fuels and lubes testing lab. I recycle many sample retains and save myself money on diesel and gasoline. Other fuels could mean methanol, paint thinners, crude oils, drip gasolines,
acetates,acetone,iso octane,etc.

It appears that many of the surveys are fueled by mischief. Look at the other surveys- Most grew up with AC tractors? Pumpkins beat out soybeans and hay as biggest crop? Most hay is cut with hand scythes? Small round bales (Rotobaler?) beat out small squares and all bigs?

Local kid in FFA put 1/2 high octane racing furl and 1/2 dads local distilled corn in go-kart engine melted piston in bore ruint block

Still, I doubt the alternate fuels would outnumber gas and diesel,. I vote for the mischief thing.

must be somebody has software that enables them to post to the survey nonstop for a few hours?

I came out of the barber shop, and got in my old 1975 Dodge truck, and was out of gas. The nearest gas statiom was several blocks away, and I wasn't carying a gas can aboard. Next door to me was an Ace hardware store, I went in and bought a gallon of Coleman fuel, and made it to a gas station. OTHER FUEL?

You have to know what you're doing with that corn juice. It takes quite a bit more of it to make it work. If you don't put enuf in, it will run decent but really lean. Lean = hot = melted pistons.

I run E-85 straight in the ol girl. have to open the carb WAY up.
