Diesel, 50hp and can load 1.3 ton on it. Sides drop down for easy loading and unloading, and 25+/- mpg.
Wife says it's ugly and I can't have it....Woman has nosense of imagination or practicality.........

Get it any way. What do ladies know of such things?lol tell her it"s in her best interest to
have it around. Look what she can haul from the grocery market,and do small moving projects for people,on the side. A REAL MONEY MAKER. If she is ashamed to drive it, have her wear dark sun glasses and a straw hat.

Told her I'd paint it pink and put flowers and peace signs all over it. but................... No worky worky....

Hi dave2: Only the color is ugly... Solution is to paint it your favorite tractor color... JD green, IHC red, etc etc.. Lots of people judge something, to a large extent, by color... A change is color is important to women... ag

Well, guess I'm different. Other than the splotches on the side, don't see anything wrong with it at all. Looks like a real handy vehicle. Would make a great farm truck.

If it were me, it'd be a done deal (assuming the $$ were right).

P.S. - don't even think about pink.

Its best to have it and not need it, than it is to need it and not have it, and as far as the color well I am sure you can change it.
Your truck is like my first FARMALL CUB I bought.
When I bought it my wife said its your toy not mine: Now picture this no leaks no grease and a
$1.000 paint job and tractor show ready I tought her how to drive it. Now you know who OWNES IT, I will give you 1 guess and it ant me.
So get ready my good friend you may be next;
JUST JOKING, I gota go: and GOOD LUCK;

We used to have one for our parts runner at the VW dealership I worked at. The parts driver bought it when the dealership closed in the 1980's. Still has it and its still running!

It'll prolly rust away before the motor dies............. Only reason I stopped driving VW's was I needed something w/ 4wd and wife wouldn't let me have one of these, (Golf is my all time favorite car):

I see a disturbing trend here, Dave- Wife won't let you have the nice little truck, wife won't let you have the nice little car. . .

May be time for a little "assertiveness training", if you get my drift. . .

Naaaa, she's OK. She knows if I really want something it'll be here quick, she just always points out that space is limited and I have a bunch of stuff.

Corvans with a corvair engine have a cool factor and are pretty rare now. The VW not so much. It's not as much a question about how ugly it is but rather if you could be seen driving it.LoL If the wife thinks it's ugly, go price out a non ugly truck. She might change her mind. Dave

like the ugly girl in high school....

fun to ride but you don't want your friends to see you with her......

Wait, wait!!! That's a moped.......

Cattleman that I worked for back in the '60's had a VW pickup- I thought it was pretty silly, until winter came- they're underpowered (no spin-out), with engine weight over the rear wheels- so almost unstoppable in mud and snow. And the sides folded down, so I could just kick the hay off as he drove. You could get through most anything that wasn't deep enough to rub the bellypan.
