Thats what a raised bed is, I had several on property from previous owner. I removed all of them.Does a raised bed also get covered in glass? because you won't believe the number of windows laying on this place. Mike

Thats still the best way for a smaller garden. You cant beat it for weed control and so forth. That was one of my first jobs on the farm to clean the chicked roosts and haul it to the garden and spread then a older boy wqlking home from grade school would spade it in. Kept ,e busy in the spring getting my task done before he finished.

Raised beds are nice, but I really enjoy "playing" with the tractor and toys. Our garden is about 1/10 acre. Since I'm retired, I'm keeping up with the weeds better while they are small. I'm going to try training tomatoes on a string trellis and also some in wooden cages.

I bought some cheap seeds on sale. Now I know why they were cheap--germination. We have a seed store that packs their own not too far away. You get way more seeds and better quality for less money. I'm hoping this will be my best garden ever.
