In the old days the chestnut trees on the mountains would bloom white flowers and the mountains looked like they were covered with snow.
 
Photos are repsent only a portion of Tenn. The entire state is not mountains..Just don,t come to middle Tennessee today. Going thru the worst
flood in 39 years here on the river..Three weeks ago had the best prospect for a corn crop in years but tonight can,t see a plant. Cumberland river is 38 ft OVER FLOOD STAGE HERE in our little river bottom. Backing up in Operland Hotel in Nashville for thos of you that have attended conventions there.. Won,t crest here at the hous for another 12 hrs or so. Byt that time it will be over all fences and our way in and out.
 
The picture with the tulips in bloom looks like the gardens at the Biltmore in Asheville NC. If the date is right on the picture we missed being there at the same time by just a couple of days.
 
We all complain about our nations economy, and politics and other things but this country is blessed with a photo oppertunity around every bend. Great pics. looks like you took time to travel the byways as well as the hiways.
 
We usually go to Nashville the first week in May and camp near the Grand Ole Opry but had to much going on to go this year,Looks likes it was good that we didnt go,I heard the Opry was flooded,
