OT/EPA rules milk is oil

Front page story in the Farm Bureau paper that came today. The EPA has ruled that since milk has a certain amount of animal fat in it,it is an oil to be regulated under the clean water act. Any farmer with an onfarm storage of more than 1320 gallons total of oil storage has to have a containment plan. That includes a combination of all oils, milk included in the mix. So if you have less that 1320 gallons of fuel storage and thought you were exempt, guess again. You have to include milk storage too.
Thanks voters! That's change we can count on!

Wow that is rich. If anybody is worried about the epa snooping around, you can self-certify a spcc plan now. Used to be you had to have a licensed professional engineer stamp it. I'll help anyone worried navigate these waters as I know a bit about this. Sons-a-bitche$

The old story about killing the goose that lays the golden eggs is coming true more often every day. Job security for some idiot that can't make a living in the private sector.

I feel like I must have fallen asleep in a movie theater and woken up in the middle of a horror movie. It just goes on and on. I guess the goal is to have the government in charge of every single aspect of everyone's life. Perhaps federal bankruptcy and the social/economic problems it will cause might not be so bad compared to the alternative.

And I thought it was bad when I had to give the FDA free reign over my farm because I am now a "tobacco proccesing facility".

Any of you guy"s remember years ago when we milked the cows, took the milk we wanted and dumped the rest in the gutter, will the new gastapo put us all in jail if we do that agian??
Looks like it"s time for some big budget cuts in the government..

AAAhhhh yessss.
Now milk truck drivers will have to have a hazmat CDL, be placarded, and not park 300 ft. from a school.

Yea,the form that you can fill out to self certify is only 20 pages long. Nothing wrong with that!

Several years ago there was several semi trailer trucks in are area picking up milk farm to farm. One was going down the highway and for some reason there was a little milk dribbling out. Highway patrol pulled him over and at once put out the hazard material signs and called the EPA. Paint on the rear and side of the trailer in big letters "MILK". Hmmm!
