What's the good, the bad and the ugly on a Ford New Holland 8240 SLE? There's one coming up at an auction nearby.

I have had an 8240 for about 6 years. I can't say that there is anything bad about it. It seems to do plenty of work on a tank of fuel. The 18 speed with 4 speed electronic power shift makes it easy to match speed to the job. I have heard that they can have electronic problems but that this is attributed to exterior connections, and shouldn't be a problem if you keep it out of salt slush.
