OT Dakota cv shaft

Anybody know how to get the CV shaft off the differential spline on an 03 Dakota? One web site said pry it off with a bar. No luck, don't want to break anything.

REMOVAL
Raise the vehicle.
Remove wheel and tire assembly.
Remove the skid plate, if equipped.
Remove cotter pin, nut lock, and spring washer from the stub shaft .
Remove hub nut and washer from the stub shaft .
Remove brake caliper and rotor.
Remove ABS wheel speed sensor if equipped.
Remove hub bearing bolts and hub bearing from the knuckle (HUB/BEARING).
Support half shaft at the C/V joint housings.
Position two pry bars behind the inner C/V housing and disengage the C/V joint from the axle (HALF SHAFT).
Remove half shaft from the vehicle.
