hotsy pressure washer problem

working on a friends hot water pressure washer. got the engine running but it wont pump water thru the pump. it kind of looks like a northern tool type unit. anybody ever rebuild one of these pumps? its a hydro tek pump. heres a couple pics. he got it from another guy.

don't know on that unit, but pump on my washer will stick check valves when not used for a while. i have to take the cap type plugs off and free them up. looks like 6 of them on your pump. these are the ones on end and top of yours. some of these have a light spring between valve and plug , don't loose them. hope this helps leroy
 
Leroy is right remove those plugs and look for parts stuck in place. You can also buy kits to rebuild those pumps and they aren't bad.
 
Not likely the pump..They are probably right or that unit has an unloader valve , lets the preasure go buy when the triger is not pulled. It will stick open.. Also the coupling between to pump and the motor is bad to go out..
