Rhubarb Planting New Roots

We planted new rhubarb roots today. It's called Canada Red. Today's rain should help to get it growing. We also visited our New Holland tractor dealership today. I wanted to look at their blue acrylic enamel. I bought a quart for $17.00 and some change plus tax. Dupont was almost $60.00 for their's. Going to paint my wheel weights for my garden tractor. I cleaned them up today. I painted them over 35 years ago with an acid primer and it was blue. Still has a lot of that primer on there. I will post a picture of them later. I never put a top coat on top of the primer. We were very busy back them at work. I'm going to paint the wheel hubs too since they're blue. They need to be sanded. I used a degreaser on them while I had the wheels off. Will use an epoxy primer without the hardener and will top that with Dupont's sandable surfacer. I used a 6-inch wire wheel off my grinder and a 1/2" drill motor to clean the weights of the surface rust. Our welding shop at work made these weights from armor plate. The cutter was computer programmed and did a nice job burning this armor plate. It couldn't burn holes, but did burn 4 notches around the perimeter of the weight. I welded flat washers over the notches to secure the bolts & weights to the wheels. You can see them in the pictures later on. Hal

What did you guys make at work using armor
plate? I accidently bought some at our scrap yard
years ago. Was more ignorant than now(my wife
says the opposite). Periodically I would try
to figure out way to burn it with a torch. Stopped trying and got rid of it.
