28% fertilizer questions

had a little 28% liquid leftover - sat in unheated shed over winter - it has like salt in it -

my question - is the salt like substance the actual fertilizer or a byproduct?

is the remaining liquid no good, just as good, stronger or weaker than before?

thanks

salt like stuff is the fertilizer, it"s just "settled" out over the winter, connect you pump up to the tank and circulate for a while, good as new... :)

28% nitrogen is a combination of urea and ammonium nitrate suspended in water. It is not a true solution so freezing will have a tendancy to let the "salt" settle out. Usually if you can get sufficient agitation you can get the salt back into suspension. A 5 hp pump won't do it unless you have a very small quantity.

The remaining liquid will have a lower nitrogen content unless you can get the nitrogen back into suspension.
