Hi all
I recently came across a neat old tractor wagon, it has a very heavy duty axle on it and spoke wheels. When I cut the tires off I found the rims were rusted through, does anyone know where I could find some 16 inch rims that would accept 8 spokes. Any help would be a greatly appreciated

Many vehicles use 16" wheels. Decide on the rim width, and start looking. Many on the road wheels can be used , also look at the "donut-spares"
they may be 16" When you find the wheels, cut the center disc out, discard, and put the replacement rim over the old spokes, tru it up and re-fasten.

3/4 ton pickups are 8 bolt, check the center hole, they are different sizes but the bolt holes should be the same. Newer Fords won t work, about 97 and up are metric

Choose any 16 inch rim that is the width you need or want and cut/grind/remove the center. then weld the spokes to the rim.

I did this on a plow and took pictures.I clamped a bar to the frame at the length I wanted the spokes and ground the spoke ends until they just scraped past the bar. When I was ready to weld I clamped a bar so when turning the wheel it scraped the end of the bar so the wheel would not wobble when done.
