scrap metal prices?

anyone know of a online site to get current scrap metal prices ,I took in 4 loads yesterday and got $150 a ton, today I got $130

What ya get when you take in a mixed load?
Old lawn mowers, fence wire, radiator from 4runner, broke alluminum wheel and the kitchen sink.

Marty, if the metals are not separated, they pay for the lowest price metal in the lot.. Usually worth the time to separate the different Metals.. I even seperate the #1 and #2 copper, and the yellow brass from the red brass..

I had a post on here about two weeks ago about what was going on in Tenn. Had a guy call and offer $250.00 a ton for iron that is not processed, like complete tractors or cars. Usually get good prices for old dozer tracks ect what we call short clean # 1 but $250 for unprocessed is high. It has been going up about $10.00 a ton ever day for the last bit..Some of this old stuff is worth more now for scrap than it will ever bring for users or to restore..

I don't know how high it is here, but it must be pretty high cause the thieves are out in full force again. Back roads are full folks pull'n trailers look'n for any thing not bolted down.

My cousin had some old iron swiped off the side of the road.

Prices have dropped quite a bit the last two weeks for iron. Other metals seem to be holding tho.

Prices are dropping here in SE Lower MI also.. about a month ago, I got about 205/ton.. today the same lot is paying about 180.. I was checking it out, as I was called about finishing a job scrapping 2 old combines and a grain truck.. Someone started the job, took the easy stuff.. cut on the combines for a couple hours and left.. that was in February.. now the owner wants em out of the middle of the field.

Took a load in last week, old engine block, bolster, fan blade shround, seat pan, brake rotors, shock absorbers, bolts/nuts, rim ect and got $225/ton. Call 2-3 weeks earlier and they said $185/ton. North Central Indiana.
