oliver 1600 3 point problem

Hello all,
Just bought my first oliver tractor. It is a nice machine but I cannot get the 3 point to lower. Has anyone ran into this before? Thanks in advance for any info.

Yes there is a lowering spool in the 3 point valve under the top cover of the hydrolic unit. That one spool can stick. There are other things like broken linkage that can cause problems too. Post on the oliver board for more responces.
