Trying to find GL-4 gear oil. Can't find any. Anyone know who still makes it. GL-5 is supposed to be bad for transmissions with brass synchronizers. The additives that make it GL-5 attacks brass.

Some, perhaps most, modern GL-5 oils are safe for yellow metals.

Look for such notation on the label.
