Has anyone recieved a card from the lawn mower class action settlement . They say about all makers of riders and push mowers misrepresented the HP ratings . Giving $75 for a rider and $35 for a push , all the way back to 1994 . I have been trying to get on there web sight to get a claim form and cant get the page to open , says it cant be found . [ lawnmowerclass . com ] Brother tried calling the phone no. and never got anywhere [877-773-8196] I got two riders and a push , that would buy the gas for them this yr.

The suit is about something I gripe about from time to time, misrepresentation of horse power.
Take for instance the Deere X340 with a 25 hp Kawasaki I bought 2 years ago. If you hooked 2 of them together and tried to pull my old 18 hp Kohler Cub Cadet, they"ed stall out.
When I was a kid, we had 3 hp push mowers. now they need 8 hp engines?
I don"t know where they came up with the new hp caculation. Must be the new math.

Remember folks, it says in the fine print, if the money runs out (it always does, the lawyers gwt the 1st 1/2 of it for themselves) then amounts will be reduced.
Likely end up with $2 & $4 per mower, if that - it says something about extended warrenty instead of money, and even just a new standard hp rating instead....

It's quite apparent that you don"t understand the differance between HP, Torque, and Drawbar horsepower. Go to Nabraska test reports on real tractors instead of literature on lawnmowers and educate yourself. The math equasion for HP has never changed. RPMs have gone up far more than Torque in these engines thus same HP less torque, = less pulling power. Another example;; A Dodge ram with a 300Hp Hemi, A Dodge ram with a 300Hp Cummins. Which is the better truck to pull a loaded trailer over the road.

Actually I do understand, I'm an engineer. Actually, I used to do a lot of work at the hospital on the south end of your lake. Actually lived on my boat during the summer at Cooperstown private docks.
