hello there we just bought a satoh S-550G and we just wanted to know anything about them,I cant find anything. If anyone could give us any info that would be great.
thank you

great for light duty work, but if you jerk it around it will break gears and shafts. treat it acordingly and it will give you good service. dont speed shift it or pop in reverse while its still rolling. transmission housing will break.

I have an S650G that I've had for several yrs! It has a loader on it with live hydraulics but I use it mainly for mowing as it has a 6ft bush hog mower and like it really weel for that as it has power steering! It dosent has live pto but dose have its own built-in over-running clutch so works okay! Havent had a bit of trouble with it and hardly uses a drop of gas! Just looking parts seem awfully high!

It has a Mazda PB engine, 1 L displacement. Uses the same oil filter that fits a 79 Honda Civic. Was advertised as the only gas powered Japanese imported tractor. Yes, parts are expensive. I tried to have my son who lives in Japan to buy and ship me a gearshift boot. Would you believe that you cannot buy tractor parts in Japan unless you are a licensed mechanic or a member of a farm cooperative?

I've had a 650G for about 15 years now that I frankly "dawg" - treat if bad but it always comes back for more. Major parts might be expensive- but I've never broke anything major, Just did a tune-up on mine using AutoZone parts crossed over by a guy on this forum- points, condensor, rotor and plugs cost me $32, which aint bad. Ive seen some with turf tires that seem to be pretty weak, but mine has AG tires and will rarely get stuck. Couldn't replace it for what it would sell for- I like the old thing

Could anyone give me a site where i can get parts for the S650G Satoh Mitsubishi? it has a gas mazda engine but am not sure which one (PB100 or TA/TB) Look forward to talking to anyone about this little tractor

Hi Ken, go to www.external_link ...click on tractor parts, they have a pretty good inventory of Satoh parts at a reasonable price. NAPA also has ignition/tune-up parts ... I'm the proud owner of an S650G Bison that I've had for 31 yrs. I've gained quite a bit of knowledge about these tractors so if I can be any help feel free to email me @ [email protected] ... I'll share any knowledge I have. Hope this helps.
