I have a remington 700 UDL in 222cal.I have owned BDLs,ADLs,and just researched CDLs on remingtons web site.They dont have anything on UDLs.Also googled UDLs and found nothing.It looks like a BDL,monte carlo stock,high gloss finish,shiny black cap on forearm,checkered.Anyone have any info on the UDL?

Thanks
Stan

The two letters at the rear of barrel next to the action would tell me when it was made. This info would help.
Went through all the 700 variations in the "Blue Book" and nothing turned up.

the markings on the barrel near the reciever are:UDL 13(on the left looking down at barrel) on right side is(hard to read)but it looks like,REP,and above that is a 6 or a G with an upside down V over it.Also there is a upside down heart shaped mark next to the REP.

A educated guess would be June, 1979 or sometime after 2001. After that they quit the bbl. date code.
Don't get the UDL at all. Has the factory rebareled it that you know of?
6 = June and V =1979.
