The probelm with the guage fixed itself for me today. Drove it home to the farm today, and after about 3-5 miles of driving the guage came up and has been working since.

Think I'll put 15w-40 back in it this summer for it's next oil change.

Neighbor had a decent looking early 80 something Ford truck for sale, son had one just like it so we went down to try it out. I was driving and out the driveway I noticed it had no oil pressure. Stopped and hollered at the owner and he came and put in a quart of oil. Started it up and headed out the driveway and it still had no pressure but, it wasn't rattling...so I drove it. Owner knocked off some more from a cheap price to begin with....and we bought it for parts. I noticed that the ignition switch wasn't spring loaded as usual, it wouldn't spring back after in the start position. I jiggled it backward and the oil pressure jumped right up where it belonged...and the motor was just fine. Just a FYI. ohfred
