A friend sent me these harvest pictures. Some farmer trying to get his corn out of the field in Feburary. He was lucky that the ground was still froze.

Wow! When I saw the first pic I thought that was dust coming from corn head and I thought that's odd. Then I skrolled down to the other pics and saw the water and then it all made sence. Unbelievable.

I don't know if I would have the guts to even try it. I wish he would have sent some close-ups of the combine. I can't imagine how it would function on that soggy ground.

There was a substantial amount of corn that went unharvested until late in the season here in Michigan. Saw more than one farmer trying to harvest in the winter, until snows got too deep. Don't know how much is worth trying to harvest after being out all winter, waiting for snow and mud to recede so machines can get into fields.

I know I wouldn't have the courage to drive a truck into all that water. Don't even think I'd try tractor, let alone a grain buggy. Still you must have got most of the corn. How was the mold and test weight?

This last weekend, there were still at least two fields of corn unharvested north of Dorchester, Nebraska.

Since the frost is out of the ground, it will probably need to dry some, now.

I don't have the information about how moldy it was Paul...or the test weight. I would like to know what he did with it afterwards. Probably have to use it for feed?

there is probably 500 to 1000 acres still in the field within 5 miles of me. I would have to really look to know how much. However they are starting to get it out of there again and QUICK.
