I help a neighbor(part time) he had 70 big squares stolen out of one of the barns a few nights ago. My thinking that it is someone that knows our routine and took advantage of it, what is your thoughts?
I also think it's someone we know well!

wow 70 big squares had to have semi's and skid steer to take that many, had to be inside job,I think you or your neighbor may have enemies .hope you catch them, good luck.

what's sad this guy will and does help anyone when they ask. He would give someone hay IF their animals really needed it
They didn't need a skid loader, they used our loader tractor ( diesel)
my wife ask why didn't we take the keys out (-:
BTW, the police dept took pictures of the tracks, so we feal really good (Joke)

Several years ago James" dad had his entire hay crop stolen, nearly 30 rounds. He stored it at the back of the hayfield. Folks drove right in during the day with multiple trucks, trailers and tractors. Neighbors saw them, but just thought he had sold the hay.

His dad put up a sign "anyone caught stealing hay will need an undertaker to wipe their ++s".

I lost 66 rounds one winter. I was working out of town and had a guy checking my cows and feeding for me. Knew that we were going through hay too fast but I never could nail it down until a neighbor called me and commented that he saw my tractor heading down the road with a round bale on the front and on the back. I confronted the guy who was 'borrowing the hay' but its mighty hard to prove.

You guys shouldn't be so stingy with your stuff anyway........Just cause you own the land and did the work doesn't give you the right to keep it away from those less fortunate. At least you were nice enough to loan them your equipment for moving.

I'm practicing to be a abundant

Sorry for your losses.

Dave

Good reason to have a couple deer cameras set up . Some models will take over 1000 pictures, time and date stamp , some even take video clips . Batteries last 2-6 monthes depending on models. We were going through lots of toilet paper at our deer cabin . We're only up there 3-4 times a year . I set up camera towards outhouse . Lots of pictures of neighbor using our outhouse ! lol It is pretty upscale for an outhouse. Cedar, windows , elec lights and heater.

Sold some hay to a neighbor a couple days back, he was hurting as someone came in on Saturday while he and the wife were in town and stole his tractor. Looks like we all better keep our eyes open.
