JayinNY and Ford Fans alike...Macfaddens auction

Hey Jay ... didn't know if you saw my reply to you the other day...i hadn't been on in a couple days so my reply was delayed...but yes, we are gonna be at Macfaddens...hoping for a riding lawnmower to come up cheap...ours is a little worn...good luck w/ those two rakes...they usually don't go cheap if they are new and nice...couple years ago at the big dykeman auction (don't know if anyone went to that...older gentleman with an unbelievable collection of iron died and macfadden sold his estate) a pair of 258's went for almost 4K each if i remember correctly...he'll probalbly sell the rakes as a choice and then the hitch afterward...might try all 3 as a package after that adn see if it gets a better price but that isn't typical of jim...

anyway...for the ford folks out there... what exactly is this tractor? http://www.macfaddens.com/images/0310auctionpics/0310%20Auction%20pics%2057.JPG

I did get your reply. I know those rakes go for alot. Last spring a very clean 258 sold for $2000, at MacFaddens. I will most likely just keep using my New Idea. I did go to Freddy Ds auction a couple years ago. I cant believe that Fendent tractor or however its spelled, Jim wanted 80 some thousand for it. Airplanes all kinds of things. I dident buy anything.

I'm going to go over to MacFadden's yard today to preview the stuff, IF it warms up and the snow melts. It's only 20 miles from my home. It's 28 degrees F here now and it snowed again last night. There have been three big tractor auctions in this area during the past month, and it snowed the day before for all of them.

It's only a inch, so if the sun comes out and temps rise, it ought to clear up fast (maybe).
