pictures....HELP!

I do it a bit differently, using modern view instead of classic view, but I don't have the neat screen shots to show you. Click on new topic and it brings up where you can type your text. Farther down on the page is Advanced Posting Tools, click on Upload Photo and fill in the info, this will let you pull it from your computer. I believe this also ends up putting your picture in one of the Galleries.

One thing to remember is that, when you hit preview and add your password, the pic should appear, before you hit your final submit. If you don"t see the pic, it will not be with your msg. You missed something, go back and re-do. Saves the blank postings.

Thank

Thank You for the help.still cant seem to get it to work.will keep trying till i get it.Steve

You need your pictures stored on your computer like "My Documents" since most of these free photo services will take you there automatically
I like tinypic.com since it requires less typing.

When you use tinypic.com you will see the word "Browse" and you need to click on that and select your picture then click again on "Save" and on "Upload Image". In about 30 seconds you will get an image url similar to this for your pic: http://i33.tinypic.com/234der8.jpg

Don't use any symbols [ ] when posting your picture. You place that Image url in the "Optional Image URL" space below your message space. Since there's been some changes over the years you can now use the Optional Image URL space for for posting 2 or more pictures. You still need an image url for each picture you're going to post and you place those image url's in the Optional Image URL space by separating them with just a comma, dont use any any symbols or extra punctuation. Here's an example:

Here's another example of how to post 2 or more pictures known as html writing. Jon the onefarmer showed me this 4 or 5 years ago. Once you use this you will like it and it has the symbols and punctuation shown in this attachment to tell the computer where to place the pictures. Just leave a space between pictures or write something about the pic. You still need an image url for every pic. Don't be afraid to try it. Hal

If you can download your pictures to My Documents
most of these free photo services will take you there automatically. Hal

This is what I do with success.
Firstly you must have the photo stored in " My Documents"
on "Add a reply" or" post a message"
scroll down to "Advanced posting tools" in a rectangle.
click "upload photo" box appears.
click "browse" your photos will appear, click selected photo then click "open"

The space before "Browse " should now have location of photo.
click upload. If you have Dial-up, now is the time to make a cuppa,
Photo thumbnail will appear.
click continue.
click "Preview your reply"
Full photo should now appear. write your message.

You will fail if you don't click "OPEN"
Hopefully I have not left anything out.
