this is a stupid question but i need help

Dear lads
Up in Canada (Ottawa) we are getting so nice weather. So I started up my case 1070 to move my discbine to change the hammers on it. But I started playing with it and I can not get it in to float. It is like the case 1070 does not have a float position on its valves? You can always hear the pump. My neighbor’s Allis has a way to set his tractor so the discbine float on the ground how can I do this with the case?

Matt, I know nothing about that specific model but IF you have 2 remotes it may be that the othere valve has float detent in it. I know that the new larger M series we sell are usually equiped with one valve that will have what you want, called float detent. If you only have one valve may be a way to conver it to float , would have to get someone to look at the valve that has hyd experience.

I owned a 1070 for awhile back in the mid-seventies, so it's been a long time since I've been around one, but I don't think float was available on that model. I remember it being kind of hard to hook hoses up to because the pressure couldn't be easily relieved. Jim

As others have said.

The reason your 1070 acts like it doesn't have a float is cause it doesn't. Sorry for the smart aleck response and there are no dumb questions.

I think there was a outfit that made some sort of add on valve to add float but not sure.

Of course if you are willing to mess around with hydraulics just about anything is possible.
