Discing job not quite finished

I looked at a discing job a couple days ago. Not a bad job. I did the job today, was just getting ready to load up, the owner comes out, and says the wife likes how it looks, and could you do another area? Now I am hot, dusty, and tired. Why didn't they just have me do the job in the first place? I left the tractor, and said I will be back next week. I guess I shouldn't complain the extra will just be added to the bill. This was my first time at their place I guess they were seeing what kind of work I do. The weeds were about 3 ft in places, The ground was just right for discing, not too muddy, or not too dry, weeds were still soft, and chopped up good. Most of the credit for the job goes to my trusty 70 year old Model M, A/C crawler. Stan

What do you use to haul everything around, and do you charge for hauling? I'm just curious. Thanks

I haul my tractor and disc on my 54 chevy flat bed. I use two 4 x 16 x 20 ft planks to load my tractor and disc. I don't charge for moving. stan

Good old AC Model M. One of the finest tractors ever built.

Be real carefull loading and unloading. I rolled a D2 off a flatbed once.

I wish I had gone into discing instead of trying to farm all those years. Best to have a long tiltdown trailer that can carry tractor and disc and pull it with the truck.
