upside down (hanging) tomatoes???

Hey folks,
anyone got the scoop on these things? Where to hang them (how much sun), just use normal plants, what to use for pots, dirt, water? Wife usually put out 3 or 4 plants in a small spot in out extremely small yard. Bugs and slugs have her not planting anymore. Figured hanging ones wouldn't rob any space and may be the ticket to fresh mators.

Appreciate any suggestions/help.

We tried them last year, with NO luck! Used regular plants, and potting soil, as per instructions. BUT, we also found out that a fungus was a problem for ALL tomato plants last year. So, this year I hear we are trying one hanging and one in the earth with cage. I guess we will have a pretty good test then...! Greg
