overhaul on case rc

i would like to overhaul the engine in my 1940 case rc with a wakesha motor but i need to figure out where to get the parts before i take it apart. Does any one know?

First you need to ID your Wauk: the first ones came with a Wauk FK or FKJ (parts catalogs differ); most were fitted with the FC.
Hopefully the Wauk tag is still on the side of the block for positive ID; it'll probably say FC-number/letter, which is the works code for the accessories: ign, clutch, carb etc.
FC manuals and parts books, last time I was in the Wauk-Dresser lit list, were still available from the company, but you have to buy thru a local Wauk dealer. If you have the FK/FKJ contact the Wauk Eng Hist Soc ([email protected]) who should have manual etc copies (but no parts). They are often on EBay, too.
FC's were built up into the 1970's (per a parts catalog); when you've ID'd your engine, try your local parts outlets (some parts companies have parts not in their catalogs, but available on special order); if NLA, you'll have to advertise and/or check the old-obsolete eng parts dealers (Egge, Foley etc etc)
Oh: try arrow engines--they support some older Wauks, but I don't recall if FC/FK/FKJ on their list.Good luck.
