ok hope some1 can help a guy who knows nothing about tractors.does the rear end in this tractor take 80w-90w gear oil? need to add some but want to make sure thats right.i just bought this tractor for 150$ not running.he said he thought something was wrong with the carb. i took it to a freind who knows just a lil about them. we could crank it and keep it running as long as we were spraying gas in the carb.it wasnt pumping the fuel so i ordered a fuel pump that will be in tommorow.it sounded great running so im hoping the fuel pump solves all that problem.do u think i did ok on this? is there a market on these tractors? it doesnt have a cutting deck on it but it has a 3 point hitch also came with 3 attachments a plow, cultivator, and disc the engine is a onan. any info would be appreciated

I have an old SS15 I am going to put a newer engine on. It has the two speed trans axle. It requires 30 weight NON detergent oil in the gear box. Mine is a 72 model I believe. Go to the searsgardentractorgroup.com and get all the info you need.

The carburetor may be gummed up from the old gas being left in there. If the pump doesn't solve the problem I would clean the carburetor and you probably should look into the gas tank too. Hal
