I am looking for a 42 combine to cut soybeans with, have 100 acres some guys say not enough combine, like to have more opions, also considering a jd 30. THANKS

Naugh, you will be fine. For many years Pa took out 150 acres of beans with an A-6 Case with Wisc. engine. He always got done how ever he did spend a lot of hours with that machine. Also he planted a lot of the old Chipawa beans that were dry enough to start harvest in early Sept. giving him plenty of time and also that bean was a whole lot different bean then todays bean with them big green stems. Now that I wrote this I'm starting to second guess my answer.

That JD 30 is only a 7' and older. What you need to be looking for in a pull type of that age is a 65 that is the pull type version of the 55 self propeled machine. If you do not have anything else to do at all you could be running them with a 30 but you could figure on 15 straight full time days, possibly more, and dought if you have the time to waste.
