Aro Air Greaser

Someone posted about an air grease gun the other day. Well , I have another question about an air greaser. This one is an old ,app. five gallon, air operated Aro Grease gun. The model number is 2160, and the serial number is 71455. It was made by the Aro Equipment Corp. in Bryan , Ohio . Don"t know the age of it , but I"d say that it"s app. twenty years old or older. When you hook up the air hose to it , the air just goes straight through and out the air discharge on the side of the cylinder pump. The air discharge is on the side of the cylinder next to the valves , and looks like a bolt head, but the head is hollow with holes in the side for the air to come out, and it just pushes into the cylinder , it dosen"t thread in . Anyone know anything about this model or the Aro Equipment Corp. ? Anyone know what could be wrong with it and / or where we could get parts. I think that it"s either stuck ( moving parts ) or a diaphram is busted . Haven"t had it apart to see whats in it . Could just need cleaning. From what I found in an internet search , Aro was bought out in 1990 by Ingersoll Rand . I"m going to send them an email , but I was wondering if anyone else knew of a cheaper parts outlet for them , or what could be wrong with it, etc.. Thank you for any and all help.

Thank you ,
Whizkid

P.S. I don"t have any pictures of it now, but I might be able to get some later.

I am located 20 miles south of Kankakee, Il. I was going to tell you about a couple of service station supply shops that I know about in this area but that information will not be of much use to you. My next thought will be to tell you look in your yellow pages or talk to your truck stop, gas station, or implement/cor/truck dealer to find where they get their air greasers repaired. Hope this helps. Armand
