I have an IH 260A backhoe and I am looking for a parts diagram. It doesn't show on the case or case IH website parts search.

Or if somebody knows where to get a tooth for the rear bucket and the little clip that retains the tooth?

Anybody know where to get a diagram or know where to get those parts? Thanks

Any good construction store. The ih construction has been long gone for awhile. Best I remember they ran a hindrex tooth..You need to take one off and go to someone that sells teeth or construction equipment they can fix you up.
Where are you located I know several place3s here in Tn tht would have your tooth..

I live wayyyyy UP north in Michigan's UP. The nearest construction place is a few hundred miles away. I have one of the teeth off as the retainer clip disappeared. hmm

All of the replacement teeth I'm finding seem to slip over a male part on the bucket. My teeth have a long shank on them and it slips inside a sleeve on the bucket.

Try a Komatsu dealer,IH construction was bought by Dresser which was in turn absorbed by Komatsu. When I worked for the Komatsu dealer in Amarillo we could still get parts for most of the IH equipment.

You are up a creek.. that old tooth was used in the late 60s . I doubt that I can find that even at our store and we have been there a long time.
Trying to think how you can find one but I am thinking the cheapest and fastest will be just cut off the shank and buy new shank and tooth. However on a machine that old I would not spend that kind of bucks . I would just weld me something up to get buy.

(quoted from post at 21:55:41 03/06/10) Roland equipment escanaba mi 906-786-6920 They will ups to you

They said I would have to bring the tooth in and [i:1bbcec0706]maybe[/i:1bbcec0706] they could match something up.

Looks like I may be running the machine with 3 teeth instead of 4. And may have to weld one tooth directly to the bucket as the clip is gone.

I will grab a picture of the tooth later.

You'd have to be nuts to try to buy from Dresser/Komatsu. They charge absolutely rediculous prices for any new-old-stock IH parts. Whatever it SHOULD cost, multiply by four times.

Do yourself a big favor and buy a generic weld-on shank and common tooth. Much cheaper and you never have to worry about finding replacements.

The OEM shanks and teeth on those IH buckers varied depending if the bucket was standard, heavy duty, or moles-paw.

Standard IH bucket took 468314R1 shank and 468733R1 tooth.

Got a tooth out and it is a Bofors tooth. Have the bofors part number for the tooth and retainer clip, not to find a distributor that can get them.

This tooth the tooth and shank are all one piece.
