got a big load of gravel today fired up the jubilee and spread it all out had a blast... wish i could go back to 1953 and run these machines for a living...
 
For a visit maybe. No internet, 2 channels on black and white tv, no stores open late, etc.

Too many cons to offset the pros for me.
 
Lot more cons around today if you know what I mean.I think I would miss AC and modern automobiles. Wouldn't miss the internet that much myself. (No offense to present company intended.)
 
haha i have a 15 acre horse training ranch, i professionally ride and train horses and personally i think i enjoy working up the arenas and stuff more than ridin the horses. if the horse business goes im buyin a backhoe and doing dirt work and fix up machinery..
 
Well not sure where you are but don't hold your breath on it taking off. I have had horses now since 1997 or so and they cost more then they make you. But I also don't want to ever be with out a few because they make some of the best fertilizer for a garden. Oh if you work with horses you can still come out I have 3 that need to be ridden and I know for a fact one would give you one heck of a ride. Oh by the way I have Arabians and have paper work on my mare that goes so far back they lost track of things. She has 75 famous horses in her back ground and took the registry 6 months to put her paper work together for us
 
Well if you could go back and be the age you are now maybe but then if you go back in age also then I know I would have a problem since I would not be LOL Plus just think of all the aches and pains that you/I have and the pills they had then for them that would either knock you on your but or do nothing for the pains
 
I have no desire to go back to 53. carrying water from pump. outhouse for bathroom, etc. As Dad used to say, the only thing about the good old days was you were young and felt like fighting it.
 
the sad thing about gravel- a talented guy spilling out of the dumptruck for you will usually do a better job of spreading it than all your effort with a backblade
