question for old

i wish old lived a little closer, id love to go and look at all his cool equipment and learn from some of you old timers. im only 21 and trying to learn all i can most of the older tractor owners around here scoff at young adults and dont want to take the time or care to share information on all the old interesting equipment. thank god for this website.

Well the truth be told I got it when I got my wife. Her husband was a good friend of mine and he had cancer because of agent orange and right before he died he asked me to take care of his wife. So I sort of inherited it that way plus a few other things. This is a picture of one I found about about just after the guy sold it. He sold it for I think he said $70 or so and it ran. It is the unstyled version of the one I had. Sure wish the guy had call me a few days earlier. He called me to fix a rim for his D-17 and I sure would have jumped on that Speed patrol and then I would have a matched pair of them oh well a day late and a dollar short. Oh by the way from what he siad it ran just needed a little TLC

Not really rare just not super common. I have come across more then one or 2 of them and believe me if/when I find one for sale if I can I will own it. One that runs and is in its work cloths is said to be worth $2500 plus and one that looks like the one I have around $7000-10000 depending on who you talk to

If they scoff at you because you are young. They are the ones in the wrong. You don"t learn by sitting back and not asking questions. I am sure some one on forum will answer you in a Manerly way. There is all ways some one that is out to belittle some one but in the process show their true colors.
