560 hydraulic leak and more

I just bought a 560 with a loader and 2 point fast hitch the two lines that come out from under the dash has been cut and spliced that go to the cylinder on the fast hitch who ever did this just hooked them straight up to the cylinder no block valve or relief or nothing and at the splice it leaks pretty good when running the fast hitch they was cut and flared so it does not look like it would be leaking . Do I need a block or relief valve or is it ok to just hook them straight like it is ? I will be using the fast hitch so i will need to have it correct and working. The lines that go under the dash and hook to the control valve can i just come staight from there and do away with my splices? Any help would be thankful

Yes as that BLOCK is what helps hold the hitch up as it takes pressure to release it to either raise or lower . So if you could find a GOOD used line and block it would be a great help , I know that finding good line and block may be a problem but even it one line is bad you can either braze it or what i do is cut out the bad steel lione and braze on to 1/2 inch pipe couplers and have a hose made upp with one swivel and one straight 1/2 pipe thread and replace steel with hose to the valve .
