Anyone built their own radiator? I recently bought an Allis D17 and am in the process of replacing the rings, pistons and sleeves. The radiator does not leak, but it is missing quite a few of the fins and it looks like it's been poked by some limbs or re-bar and then patched back together. It's pretty dented and banged up too.
New radiators are around $600, and I've found some used ones in the $250+ range.
I thought about making my own, or modifying an existing one to fit. If it doesn't work, I'd put the original one back in. The original one looks like it doesn't have much life left in it though.
Has anyone ever done something like this?
