OT You Canadians should have taken the bet!

Well folks Canada beat our girls last night 2 to nothing , our girls played their hearts out but came up short. Tip of the cap to the Canadians they are phenomenal, especially the goalie. Way to go Canada! But you guys should have bet me , that Wisconsin cheese is the best ever!!

BUT, they should exercise SOME kind of professional appearance during the Olympics. I know if that was MY team, no way in heck would I allow them to carry on like that IN PUBLIC. Show a little respect for the games!

In 1999, the U.S. women won the world cup in soccer. The U.S. lady who scored the goal promply ripped off her jersey down to the sports bra for all the world to see.
I think the Canadian women could take a lesson here......

The goalie is a rookie and from Edmonton. I saw highlights of the game. What was with the near fight in second period? You don't see too many punches thrown in womens hockey. Canada and the US have had a long rivalry in womens hockey. Both goalies were pretty good, 28 saves for Canada and 27 for the US. Teams are pretty even when only 2 goals are scored. Have to see how the men do today. Canada finally played to their potential against Russia. Dave

Near fight was with my girl Molly, Canadian player appeared to slash our goalie, Molly came in and checked her a good one, all in a days work!

I might start watching more televised sports if more Brandi Chastains were in them.

I'll await Danica Patrick or Milka Duno winning a race and celebrating in such victory. Neither are hard on the eyes. Danica sure seemed to boost viewer numbers recently even if she did win or peel.

Your US girls sure do look good in silver...especially in the shadow of our girls in gold. BTW in rural Manitoba men's senior hockey your girl Molly would have had help leaving the ice (stetcher).

Not going to be nice TODAY. Canadians are too NICE most of the time. Today is a day for Canadians to be proud, not nice. On a more serious note, Canadians are probably nearly as patriotic as our US neighbours (I refuse to call you Americans: that's what I am). It just seems that it takes a sports event (something we can win) for us to demonstrate it. Just glad your girls could accomodate us. Remember, Canadians don't just survive in the frozen north, "WE THRIVE!"

I have to admit I have always enjoyed Canada and always root for them except when playing the US. Canada has always been a good neighbor to us and most of us truly appreciate that! Now a good neighborly rivalry is always fun. Now on a farm related subject, is the Queen still angry about the whole mad cow thing? Last time I went to lake Nipigon fishing they confiscated my potatoes, when I ask why the customs man told me the Queen got po'd about a beef embargo or something.

I haven't actually spoken to (or even about) the "Queen" for quite some time. But our beef farmers are having trouble forgiving. HMMM... duh...the US imports lots of oil....google and see where most of it comes from

The women did play a great game and had a great goalie. Wish I never missed the post about the bet, I would have took it I truly had no doubt Canada would win. Hometown advantage and the way they were playing USA had a good team but were just a hair shy to be equal in talent
I want to see the mens Hockey final be USA and Canada. That would be a great game. USA has a real good team, Canada is getting rolling now and got the right goalie in net now. Brodure was too much of a show off, Lou,Lou, Lou is the man. He plays postion and does his job. Doesnt try to do more then he should and gives 110 percent.
I could see that game being so close it could come down to a shoot out.
Let the players celebrate it might be a once in a life time experiance.
