Cabin Fever Setting In?

Posted last Saturday about what everybody was doing - just cause there wasn't much talk on here.
Now I can't even keep up - guess it's time for new computer and/or glasses!

PS: Waiting for the glennster to come out and let us know how many more days to planting garden.

yepper, had the same 16 inches of snow on the ground for the last 3 months,it's as hard as a rock, when it does snow here its just flurries or an inch or so,cant wait for spring!NW Wisconsin

Yes, cabin fever definitely. We're in the Catskill Mts. in NY and forecast to get 8 to 16" by tomorrow afternoon, and then another storm on Thursday, which could be another foot. Oh well, my trusty snow machines are ready, F20 with bucket loader and Cub with plow. Will have to do a lot with the F20 at first as the snow will be heavy, and finish up with the cub.

I know what you mean .. I put sliding doors on my tractor shed last summer and now there in 3 inches of ICE from water melting off roof ... so it's going to be awhile before I will be able to drive one of my tractors ...

I dumped a sliding door and put up an overhead for that exact reason.

BTW, I've had cabin fever since November.

think spring!!

Yep I"m doing the same thing with my sliding doors. I"m putting in an overhead door with an opener on it so I can pull the pickup in and out with out getting out of the truck.

BELIEVE me I'm looking for an overheard door ... I wouldn't mind getting a tractor and just drive it in the SNOW ... at least I could drive it ...

I learn a leason on DOORS ...

we froze and canned some and my mom loved to give to her friends . One season she was sick and we brought the crops to her bedside so she could have fun passing them out to her friends.

No cabin fever here, been too darn busy. I only got about 2 weeks left to get in three weeks work on my winter project( hope chests for my granddaughters). Gotta get busy. I use my tractors all winter hauling firewood so I'm not denied some seat time.

Where are you at Dutchman , I have some 14 ft overhead doors with all the tracks etc. , I m in S.E. Indiana .

We're up on a ridge between Accord and Kerhonkson. Beautiful area and unspoiled by a lot of building.Right now 12" snow on the ground and more to come tomorrow and Friday. It's 9 am and I haven't started plowing yet. Guess I'd better get going.

None here either- warmest winter on record. It was down in the 40's yesterday, and everybody was complaining!

Got a strawberry patch planted last Sunday. Garden spot is almost dry enough to work up. Need to do it soon, so I can plant too early and have to replant later.

Dad always told about an "open" winter they had in the late '40's, and just for fun, he planted some corn in February. Neighbor said he was crazy- dad replied, "Yeah, I'm out a dime's worth of seed if it freezes- but what fun it will be if it doesn't!" It never froze again, had about the right amount of rain, and they had roastin' ears on the 4th of July. Took some over to the neighbor, who took dad's ribbing (and the corn) in good spirits.
