i was talking about the motors in a 760 masssey combine i was told they had bigger exhaust and turbo and intake so they had more power

I don't think it had to do with the color. It had to do with what was known as the "dot number" Dot 1,dot 2 or dot 4. The 4s were the newest and probably would have been the most advanced. JSchweibert is the Perkins guru. He's on the Oliver forum most of the time. Ask him over there.
