Can you believe it

Well folks, I drove my 706 out of the shop today. Been a long haul, but got the engine finished. Spent about 4 hours working on my new exhaust manifold. mounting flanges were about 3/16" thicker than the intake. Wondered why it didn't seal. Well, maybe I can get some paint on her next.

Vet and others, I just can't get happy with the governor. It's not terrible but it sure isn't snappy. And, you know if I want the machine to run at 2,000 rounds working, I don't want it run up to 2,300 rounds when I push in the clutch or drag down to 1,700 when I let the clutch out - before the governor reacts. Maybe I'm too particular.
