Medical pot was legalized here in the state a year ago. Today at noon on the news, they did an investigative story on getting it. They talked to one guy off camera who said that it says right on your paperwork not to let anybody know you're growing it because of the chance of being robbed. So then here's a guy right up the road, right on camera with a whole crew in his basement, showing off all of his plants and the 24 he's growing for 2 other folks with prescriptions. Gave his name, sitting there puffing on it and all. What's the chance that somebody will look him up and knock him in the head before morning? At the very least the cops need to be watching for him driving under the influance. Wonder if the banker is gonna be real receptive to him this spring when he comes in for his loan for "spring planting"?

(Teasing Alert!) Banker would probably give loan- strong market for crop, probable better gamble than planting corn or soybeans. As for robbery attempts, etc--A smart sherrif would have some discrete watchers and chasers ready- catch a armed robber with a vehicle and bust him is good for next election, siezed the robbers vehicle to help with budget. Stop at NORMAL(or whatever the pot advocates call themselves) and get a campaign contribution. Tell robbery supect he'll be put in cell with pot smokers customers relatives unless he pays big fine or turns over another crook. Possibly federals are already watching. RN

What some will do for 15 minutes of fame! If you are talking about the shakey state isn't weed the biggeest agi crop? Not taxed?

I would suggest that he be very careful. One of my neighbors got caught growing marijuana and he spent most of a year in jail and the FEDS confiscated his whole place!

And might he get robbed? You bet! Really dumb to publicize his operation, even IF it is by-the-book legal.

I hire alot of young kids that after a while will tell of the business folks in my tiny tiny little town of 700. Where their friends get the real stuff etc.

Our county was commented by Jay Leno as the most meth labs with the least convictions.

Probably if we all knew, we would not sleep at night.

yeah the news nuts are good at things like that. Around here it seems the favorite thing is telling everyone how to do something illegal. For instance they"ll have a story on someone"s scheme to counterit and pass bad checks, sneak up on someone at an ATM and steel their PIN, etc. Whatever the crime commited the wtory usually finishes off with a segment longer than the original crime post saying "here"s how they did it". I"ve yet to see one saying they found a meth lab...and here"s how to make it...but I"m sure it"s comming all in a race to get higher ratings....

They did even more on the story at 6. This time they were telling about their little "club" that meets for "treatment". In a social situation,of course. Proof positive of why somebody who uses it,shouldn't be growing it.
