I was looking online to find a way to update the maps in my Garmin GPS unit.

I found the following link, "Free Garmin Map Updates at Great Prices".

Ain't there a whole lot of 'free web sites' that are free after you give them your credit card info?????

Free software, free maps, free manuals, free music. It's all free, if you subscribe to the web site for $9.99 a month. Some kind of free eh?

I like the freedom of the internet; but it does make me appreciate the consumer protection laws we have on regular transactions, truth in advertising, and the like. Kind of a miserable world of theives out there when we get away from those standards.

I think the one time update is $69.99 and the lifetime update ( four updates a year) Wich is what I purchased is $119.00 the updates are only available from Garmin, You have to download the installer after purchase before you can download and install the update.
