What is a ford 8240

I am reading an auction bill, says Ford 8240 powerstar SE with cab, listed under tractors. Anyone got a picture of one of these? I assume it is at least a 4plow tractor, as there is a ford 4bottom plow listed, too. Or is it a truck?

Dave, I happen to own an 8240. They were built from 1991 to 1996 in England, have a naturally aspirated six cylinder making 96 HP. Most appear to have been built with the 16 speed electronic power shift and the electronic draft package. SLE is some option package, I don't remember what. Most dealers are asking about $25,000 for them now with MFWD. 1996 was the last year Fords were built.

don't know that they were real big sellers but I have seen them and would be about 100 hp---could check external_link for more info

No, I wouldent touch it, I like 4wd and the 00 and 10 series I II ie 7600, 5600 5610 6610 7710 8600 9600 ect 2WD for some of them. LOL Something like this.
