i love warm and sunshine, but hate daylight savings time. just pick a time and keep it forever, i say (I prefer to keep standard time or create one where you fall back every 6 months) :)

Well we have snow tonight and tomorrow I hope things work out to throw some clover seed on that snow. I only have 3 lbs of it right now and that csot me $10 but thing have happened that maybe I'll go get another 6lbs of it. Doesn't take a lot to get it going and if done right it is like that battery bunny it just keeps going and going

We"re already getting rolling on preps for spring. Been busy all week. I can"t work up the soil, but we"re spreading compost in the garden beds. We didn"t get as much snow as old might have, so the ground will freeze well over the next couple of days and I should be able to finish with the compost this week. I addition, we"re ready to get the seedling greenhouse moving on lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, etc. Too cold out there right now for tomatoes, so they"ll need to stay under lights in the house for a while longer. Also bought seed potatoes last week and will be getting two layers of 6mil plastic down to warm the soil to plant our early potatoes. Probably won"t be able to plant as early as we usually do, but just as soon as the soil is warm enough, we"ll be planting. Oh, did I mention getting the hay equipment checked out? I hate leaving it until late spring as my "day job" really starts getting busy then.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your winter!

Well see you need to come see me so you could help me get that green house from my moms place to my place. Shoot it is only a mile away by road or a 1/4 mile as the crow fly's. And yep been thinking about the manure but boy doing it by hand sure is a lot of work and my right arm is about AWOL

Wondered when it starts. Glad it's that late this year. Last year it started the day before Board of Review and was still dark outside in the morning when I had to get chores done in time to get to the meeting by 9am. Looks like that's not the case this year.
